On ferme la rue, it is above all a neighborhood ball open to all, in all simplicity.
Created and produced in 2018 by Afozic Prod, the objective is to “return the street to the public”, on the 1st Thursday of each summer month (June, July, August and September), and to party together.
On ferme la rue is a friendly, festive, unifying event… with varied and colorful musical styles, dress codes, common terraces… for everyone!
In collaboration with many local actors, and with the participation of the City of Sallanches, ON FERME LA RUE has become one of the highlights of the summer season in Sallanches
The program for 2022:
- Thursday June 2:
6:30 p.m. – RACKHAM LE GROOVE / “caliente” mix on a Vintage VW Combi (Afro, Caribbean…)
8:00 p.m. – INFERNAL BIGUINE: Caribbean ball (beguine, mazurka, Creole waltzes, etc.)
Dress code: straw hats and colorful clothes (flowered shirts and frou-frou)
- Thursday July 7:
6:30 p.m. – CA VA FOIRER (Cie Réverbère): burlesque and absurd solo
Surprise: KOMANDO BIDON
8:00 p.m. – CELTIC HANGOVER: Folk & Rock Celtic
Dress code: Irish style (checks, green… kilt and punk)
- Thursday August 4:
6:30 p.m. – Funny BUSINESS: a very great man of street theater: Fraser HOOPER (NZ)
8:00 p.m. – RODEO SPAGHETTI: honor to Italy and the Dolce Vita. A festive, crazy universe, just enough: between retro tavern, Sergio Leone-style saloon and “swing alterno punk”
Dress code: Dolce Vita Vintage, dare to be eccentric with Italian class (colorful suits, pie collars, patchwork dresses, garish scarves and retro glasses, etc.)
- Thursday, September 1:
6:30 p.m. – THE ALCHEMIST: street magic and fairground trickery
8:00 p.m. – FATUM FATRAS: bal-kanique and Mediterranean music
Dress code: Balkans…Kusturica atmosphere
