This winter 2022, the Méribel resort “grooved” for 1 month to the rhythm of 4 concert evenings by 4 great French artists, the most prominent in the jazz world!
- Agathe Iracema : singer, author and composer of Franco-Brazilian Jazz
Agathe Iracema has music in her skin, with her soft and deep voice, freshness and spontaneity were there! Due to the profession of her father, Brazilian bassist Rubens Santana, she attended many concerts during her childhood.
Encouraged by Sheila Jordan, she created her first quartet at the age of 15. She therefore developed music influenced by Sarah Vaughan, or Cab Calloway, as well as Édith Piaf or Stevie Wonder…
- Chromatik : the French Jazz/Hip-Hop group
Made up of 6 talented and explosive musicians as well as the rapper Hi Levelz, fresh from the show “The Voice”, the group seduces in an elegant and supercharged way. This meeting of personalities gives us a beautiful recipe that is both complete and structured, while allowing each talent to express itself. Like a jazz concert, each piece of Chromatik gives its moment to each artist for the listener to discover.
- The singer Célia Kameni and her Pianist Alfio Origlio
Célia Kaméni and Alfio Origlio invite us on a journey by offering a recomposition of “pop and soul songs”. Timeless hits subtly reinterpreted by the most charismatic jazz singer of her generation. Reinterpretations of songs by Grégory Porter, Stevie Wonder, U2, Seal without forgetting a moving metamorphosis of the indolent Blues of Jeanne Moreau. The arrangements are by pianist Alfio Origlio. With Brice Berrerd on double bass and Zaza Desiderio on drums, the quartet takes us into its secret musical garden.
- Sly Johnson
On stage, Sly Johnson is an exceptional performer, who demonstrates great generosity, taking the spectators into his musical universe to the rhythm of an abrasive groove and rich music, at the crossroads of hip-hop and funk…
Present for 25 years on the French scene, Sly Johnson has multiplied identities. Firstly MC/beatboxer of the “Saïan Supa Crew”, with whom he recorded three albums rewarded with two Gold records and a Victoire de la Musique, he took off solo. While continuing collaborations with artists such as Camille, Erik Truffaz, Oxmo Puccino, Raphael, Ayo, Lucky Peterson, China Moses and Jacky Terrasson, he established himself as an essential soul singer from his first album 74, followed by The Mic Buddah in 2015.
