Midnight Burst began as a duo in 2016 with Nikk Giggs (acoustic guitar) and Stan Blaineau (washboard + mini drums) in an electric-acoustic set covering all the blues and rock classics of the 60s and 70s.
Wishing to offer a more electric version, the duo welcomes Nicolas Mermoud on drums in 2017. Rediscovering the traditional guitar / bass / drums formation, the group intends to pay homage to the Blues and Rock of the 60s and 70s.
And then it was Vincent Dupuis' turn to join them on the harmonica, he became the group's “official guest”.
The trio/quartet punctuates its stage performances with electric and powerful flashes as well as frenzied improvisations.
After more than a hundred concerts, the group is working on its first album whose compositions are coming out little by little.
